Performing under Paradoxical Distraction for EDM music production, Alek Zendra brings a technical and textured dimension to the project. An expert in complex rhythmic structures, he fuses the raw energy of the 90s with surgical precision to create an immersive sonic experience.

A passionate DJ and dedicated collector, he draws his identity from the golden era of the 1990s, when vinyl crates ruled the dancefloor and electronic music was raw, bold, and revolutionary. His collection is a carefully curated archive of rare pressings, white labels, and forgotten gems that capture the spirit of rave culture, early house, techno, and breakbeat. Blending deep musical knowledge with an instinctive feel for the crowd, he doesn’t just play tracks, he tells stories from a decade that shaped modern club culture, keeping the soul of the ’90s alive one record at a time.

Based in Québec, this DJ began mixing in 1992, at a time when underground parties, vinyl turntables, and word-of-mouth shaped the scene. Deeply influenced by the sound of the 1990s, he has remained loyal to the era that defined his musical DNA, from classic house and techno to early rave and progressive grooves. In the early 2000s, he became a regular presence in some of the most popular after-hours venues, refining his craft through long, immersive sets that carried dancers from night into morning, all while preserving the raw energy and spirit of the ’90s.
